Born in picturesque Southern California my childhood was a mix of sunshine, the beach, and the high desert. We moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was teenager so if you ask me where I am from, you’ll likely hear Vegas Baby! Not long after graduating high school I found myself working in the hospitality industry. Like many people who live in Las Vegas the allure of the bright lights and the mega resorts drew me in. Little did I know that’s where I would find my passion for working with people on creating spectacular things.

Fast forward a couple of years, I met my now husband, we had a beautiful baby boy, and then I received a wonderful job opportunity in Orlando, Florida. So, we packed it up and traded in the bright lights of the desert for mouse ears and magic. We spent a decade exploring the Florida beaches and developing an SEC rivalry in our house that still runs strong to this day. My husband, being a South Carolina Gamecock who literally bleeds garnet and black, was devastated when our son decided that he wanted to be a Florida Gator. No matter how much he begged and pleaded, no matter how many Carolina football games he took him to, or Gamecock’s t-shirts he bought him, there was just no way my son was going to be anything other than a Gator. That’s when we realized we had a real problem on our hands so we did what any self-respecting parents would do, we packed it up and moved far away to the great state of Texas… bye-bye Gator Nation!!

Living in Georgetown, Texas we reconnected with old friends and made a ton of new ones. That journey led me to meeting the amazing women who lead the charge in the SRP Austin Office. From the moment I met them I knew that being a part of this team would take me back to doing what I love, creating spectacular things with phenomenal people at the top of their game. I may not have had a lifelong love affair with finance specifically but, my love of people and of helping them pursue their goals translates across all professions and may just be the perfect recipe for financial success.

When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with family and friends, cheering my son on at his high school football games (nowhere does Friday Night Lights like Texas!), taking our dog for evening walks, enjoying the sunset poolside, or curling up on the couch with my hubby watching a movie. All in all, I would say that I’ve finally found my home sweet, Texas, home.
