As the Managing Director for our Greensboro Office, Jonathon advises plan sponsors on investment, fiduciary, plan design, and participant engagement. He runs committee meetings and provides fiduciary training to members. Jonathon's philosophy can be summed up in three words: keep things simple. His ultimate goal is to provide employees with a plan that helps make their retirement goals a reality. Jonathon’s favorite part of the job is delivering progress reports to plan participants, distilling a large amount of information into a one-page report that clearly answers the most important questions: Am I on track for retirement? Jonathon is also the author of three books, disTRACKted, The Secrets to Getting America’s Retirement Plans Back on Track, FOCUSED, The Financial Freedom Formula, and The Ultimate 401(k) Advantage™, the Five Step Process to Becoming a 401(k) SUPERHERO to Your Employees.
As well as being an author, Jonathon is also a national speaker. He shares his ideas and knowledge at conferences with his peers and with retirement plan sponsors. Jonathon has also been featured on national news outlets such as NBC, CBS, FOX and ABC where he shares financial literacy tips and tricks from his book FOCUSED. These are the same tips that he shares with our retirement plan participants.
Jonathon’s passion is teaching the concepts from his book disTRACKted on how to design and build better 401(k) and retirement programs. Plus, he enjoys empowering employees on how to be better stewards of their personal finances with ideas from his book FOCUSED.
Outside of work Jonathon enjoys spending time with his family, include his wife Heather, son Dylan, and three daughters Emma, Mady and Sadie Gray. Jonathon states that, “building a strong family is important.” He enjoys taking long weekend trips with the family to explore the countryside and taking a break from the day-to-day grind to recharge.

Blue. If you know me, you know that I am color blind and almost everything I wear has some blue in it. That’s the only way I can know that I match.
Being late. Vince Lombardi once said, “If you’re 5 minutes early, you’re already 10 minutes late.”
John Lennon. I feel like we had similar values. He wanted to change the world and he also wanted to spend time with his family.
