Garrett joined Strategic Retirement Partners as an intern in 2020 and was officially welcomed on to the team in 2021 as a WELLth Services Associate after graduating from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Finance concentrating in Personal Financial Planning. As a WELLth Services Associate, Garrett supports the WELLth team through the financial planning process and leads efforts in eMoney financial planning software as well as through assistance with the securities trading process.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Garrett attended WKU where he was Vice President of the Financial Planning Association student chapter and was a finalist in FPA’s 2019 National Financial Planning Challenge. He is also a recipient of the 2020 TD Ameritrade RIA Scholarship Award which is dedicated to fostering the next generation of financial planners.

Garrett is a strong advocate for financial literacy and as a WELLth Services Associate, he is excited to be working alongside WELLth advisors so that clients of all different needs and circumstances can work towards achieving financial independence.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A doctor, but after a few of my high school science classes I quickly learned it was not for me.

What was your first job?

My first job was a “Courtesy Clerk” at a grocery store (it was a fancy title for bagging groceries and pushing shopping carts!)
