Charles brings senior level perspective from nearly 40 years of experience in various corporate finance functions in three Fortune 1000 corporations. His 25 years of experience in the investment function includes serving as Director of Trust Investments. Most recently he fulfilled investment responsibilities as Chief Investment Officer of White Oak Advisors LLC. Currently he serves on the investment committee of several foundations and endowments in Kentucky and Ohio. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Troy University, an M. B. A. from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and studied in the Executive Development programs of Indiana University. He contributes to investment research, investment policy, investments selection and monitoring, special projects, and development of presentations.
Teaching mathematics in a small rural school before I graduated from college was one of the most personably rewarding opportunities of my career. Also, it helped me become more comfortable developing and making presentations.
It brings together my knowledge, skills, and experience to issues I enjoy working on and that make a difference in people’s lives.
Read books that unfold the interaction of the major themes of an era (economic, social, political, medical, wars) particularly as they relate to evolution of governance, social norms, health, and rise of the middle class.
