What was your first job?

Teaching mathematics in a small rural school before I graduated from college was one of the most personably rewarding opportunities of my career. Also, it helped me become more comfortable developing and making presentations.

What is your “why” for being in the retirement plan industry?

It brings together my knowledge, skills, and experience to issues I enjoy working on and that make a difference in people’s lives.

What is one thing that you love to do that you get to do nearly every day?

Read books that unfold the interaction of the major themes of an era (economic, social, political, medical, wars) particularly as they relate to evolution of governance, social norms, health, and rise of the middle class.
